From Paris the Torpedo Runners drove to the land of the volcanos, a circumscription for the the big Massif Central mountains fascinating by extincted volcanos, glittering crater lakes, impressive volcanic cones and wild gorges. Already the streets of the Massif Central were stunning, but we stopped south of Clermont-Ferrand in the mountains for helicopter rides to enjoy the amazing landscape with all the facets by an aerial view.

Still having a high-altitude euphoria and internalised the fascinating bird’s-eye view of the mountains, the enjoyable trip continued to Lyon. The luxury hotel “Sofitel Bellecour”, located at river Rhône, was easy to find.

Lyon is the French capital of gastronomy. Reasons enough to taste the delicous gourmet food. Awarded with a rare Michelin star, Alain Desvilles, chef of the famous restaurant “Les Trois Dômes”, prepared a dainty menu for the participants of the Torpedo Run. It was definitely a pleasure for fastidious palates.

The Torpedo Run is known for wild parties and Lyon for its vibrant life. After dinner we visited Lyon’s prestigious nightclub "La Voile", where we partied long and extensively in our VIP area. Infected by the great mood of the party some Torpedo Runnes ordered more magnums of Moët Champagne - not for drinking, but for splashing around.
