The Torpedo Run spectacularly conquered the winding and attractive mountain roads of the Western Alps offering numerous terrific roads while passing steep hillsides. Furthermore tunnels and jaged cliffs awaited the drivers in the Vercors mountains. That area began to be accessible for road traffic in the 20th century by blowing roads into the rocks. Those streets were a real shot of adrenaline!
After the gigantic mountain scenery the Torpedo Runnes had lunch at the Michelin starred “La Bonne Etape” located in Château-Arnoux in a picturesque estate before starting to the Grand Canyon du Verdon which is up to 700 meters deep and known as the “small brother” of thefamous Grand Canyon in North America.
The Grand Caynon du Verdon is not less phenomenal and can be mentioned in the same breath as the “big brother”. The stunning pass roads rised steep with a grade of 14 % from 500 meters to 1406 meters and offered breathtaking views.
St. Tropez offered the perfect atmosphere for the Grand Final at the noble Villa Belrose: located on a hill between the sea. The restaurant of the Villa Belrose, of course also Michelin starred, invited the Torpedo Run to a delicious gala dinner, where we exchanged our experiences of a great weekend. Chef Thierry Thiercelin created not less than 9 courses from caviar to exquisite fish and delicate meat. It was a pure culinary pleasure!
Again Torpedo Run showed that this trip is a legal lifestyle event and mobile party for car enthusiasts. Next year we continue with new highlights and other exclusive, action-packed events.
ENTER the Torpedo Run, if you have the determination for a great mobile party as its best!
