» Rottach-Egern / Lake Tegern, Germany
» Davos, Switzerland

This years’ Torpedo Run started at Lake Tegern, South of Munich (Germany). Many sportscars and exclusive exoctics such as Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Bentley Continental GT and Wiesmann GT Coupé gave a thrill of joy to each participant. In the same village a large posse of the Bavarian police awaited the first participants to stop them and confiscate their cars directly. The reason: Torpedo Run is supposed to be an illegal street race and the cops have to seize the cars to protect the citizens of Bavaria against a danger. The twelve teams concerned were able to pick up up their sports cars after the event.

But Torpedo Run is not a race. There is no timing and each team is able to drive the route of their choice. Besides nobody is pressed for time. Furthermore we have rented modern racetracks, which are usually closed for public access. The teams got back their money in consequence of the early stop.

History

The drivers stayed overnight at the luxury Sheraton Hotel Waldhuus which was designed with Swiss chalet elegance. After dinner it was time to party in the most popular club of Davos: the Cabanna in the epicenter of the nighlife in Davos. It was really a wild party with ecentric people!
